love this, right?

every goddess needs a goddess bracelet. i love them. i want them. i want to layer them. wear two and three at a time. this one comes from the super cool Dogeared Jewelry. recently their line of goddess bracelets were featured throughout the swimsuit edition of sports illustrated. one hang up...this one has a price tag of $92. yes sir-ree bob...$92. at that price, there will be no layering of goddess bracelets on this arm.

however....tune in tomorrow for pics of the goddess bracelets I've recently made. yes, i said MADE. you know i must really, really, really be desperate for goddess bracelet(s) if i am going to attempt to make them. so take a look tomorrow. the photography, i'm sure, will be horrendous. but, i promise, in real life: they look GOOOOD.

Ahhh...

And then He said to her,

"Daughter your faith has healed you. Go in peace."

farrah

yes, i realize the king of pop died yesterday. and, i am appropriately sad. however, i could just bawl at the passing of farrah.

oh, how i use to beg to stay up late to watch charlie's angels. in fifth grade, we always played charlie's angels at lunch recess. i was always jill (aka farrah). and, yes, THE poster did hang in my bedroom.

a sad, sad day indeed.

i love, love, love this scent - dream angle heavenly.

v.s. has carried it for years - but don't overlook it. it is delicious. so light. so feminine. perfect for summer.

i always come back to it. my favorite thing...spray the sheets at bedtime. heavenly.

10, rather 11, random facts

a friend of mine did this on his facebook page. he shared a list of random facts and thoughts about himself and his life. i loved the...hmmm...randomness of it. since I don't have a facebook page...well, that's a lie. actually I do. but, i can't remember my password and i haven't been back there since the day i set it up. anyway, i thought i would put together my random list. share yours.

1. i love college football and watching my husband coach from the sideline.
2. i am trying - rather unsuccessfully - to drive slower.
3. i’m starting to have issues with my neck.
4. my child is my heart and my husband is my soul.
5. i am becoming more frugal. and, let me say, some days are harder than others.
6. i love watching my 5 year old wake up in the morrning. it's the funniest thing.
7. nothing makes me happier than lying in the sun.
8. i don’t enjoy doing much in the kitchen unless it’s pouring a glass of wine.
9. i wish i owned a starbucks.
10. i'm relestless.
11. on a random day a year or so ago, i read one sentence - really it was a question - and it has altered my life forever. the question: “i know that you believe in God but do you believe God?” (from beth moore’s Believing God). after reading that incredible book, i believe GOD.

okay, i'm doing it...

i’m making a comittment to this blog. supposedly, before beginning one of these, you are to do a number of things to ensure it’s success. the wardman wire suggests such things as:

  • get a domain. a what?

  • utilize search engines and get listed in directories. again, what?!

  • understand pinging. well, my husband has a set of them in the garage though I’m not sure how his clubs are going to help my blogging.

  • write an occassional authority article. really? the only person i hold authority over is my 5 year old and that’s (a) right after a threat or (b) right after a bribe.

  • identify your niche. i’ll have you know i’ve been trying to do that for 42 years.

so see, this whole thing is quite intimidating. so, in turn, i think i’ll just fly by the seat of my pants.

PING!
